At Coachable, accessible from https://www.coachablefitness.com, protecting your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers both our website and the Coachable platform, including the program editor, team management tools, and athlete dashboard.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and login credentials. Coaches may also provide team names and billing details.
Coaching and training data. This is the core of the platform. It includes training programs and templates you write, exercises, sets, reps, percentage and RPE prescriptions, athlete exercise maxes, logged workout sessions, and per-session feedback such as fatigue, motivation, and performance ratings, plus session notes.
Team data. Coach-athlete relationships, team membership, roster information, and team announcements or poll responses.
Payment information. Subscriptions and coach billing are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and bank details go directly to Stripe. We store subscription status, plan details, and transaction metadata such as amounts, dates, and refund status, but never full payment credentials.
Usage and device information. IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken in the app, used for analytics, troubleshooting, and security.
Communications. If you contact us directly, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message and any attachments.
Google Sheets export. You may connect your Google account to export programs to Google Sheets, or download your programs as CSV files. Connecting Google requests access to your name, email address, and Google Sheets. We use this access only to perform the export you request.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the platform
- Process subscriptions, payments, and refunds
- Recalculate training loads from athlete maxes and personalize the coaching experience
- Communicate with you about your account, feature updates, and support
- Analyze usage, fix bugs, and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
AI features and your data
Coachable includes an AI assistant that helps write and edit programs. To do this, relevant program and athlete context is sent to our AI model providers. Your data is never used to train AI models, by us or by third-party providers. AI processing is limited to generating the response you asked for.
Third parties we share data with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the platform:
- Stripe: payment processing
- Supabase: database and application hosting
- Vercel: website hosting
- Amazon Web Services (SES): transactional email
- AI model providers: powering the in-app assistant
- Google: only if you connect Google Sheets export, under the terms below
Each provider processes data only to perform its service and is bound by its own contractual and legal obligations.
Google API disclosure
If you connect your Google account, Coachable's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We will not transfer your data received from Google APIs except to:
- Provide the export feature with your consent, as described above
- Security purposes, such as investigating abuse
- Compliance with applicable laws
- As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, after obtaining your explicit prior consent
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at admin@coachablefitness.com. Some records, such as payment transaction history, may be retained as required by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.
CCPA privacy rights
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal data we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with
- Request deletion of their personal data
- Opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

GDPR data protection rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability. We will respond to requests within one month. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
